1.5kg of Layers Pellets are designed for birds in lay or coming into lay (this means for birds whom are already laying eggs or will be laying soon).
Chicken Feeding
Layers Pellets should be offered ad-lib, all year round ensuring fresh, clean water is made available at all times. As a guide an average hen will eat 120-150g of Layers Pellets per day.
Point of Lay (POL) birds are sold normally at 16-20 weeks and Layers Pellets is the type of chicken feeds that normally fed from this stage (although some breeds take up until 26 weeks to start laying eggs).
At this stage you can also use another chicken feed like mixed corn to your birds as well as layers pellets. But please only feed
Mixed Corn as a treat and not a feed staple. Also at this stage birds can be introduced to
Mixed Poultry Grit.

- Keep birds laying well
- Produce good size eggs
