New News

Due to popular demand we have now increased the sizes available for our Red Mite Powder, Ark Maid and Pro-Poultry Vits, meaning you can buy bulk without having to spend as much money! (Always a good thing in my eyes, lol).

The larger bulk order really does make a difference for example 800g of Ark Maid is £6.99, however 10 times that amount is £47.49, saving you over £20! All the new sizes available are in the Poultry Helath section of the website.

Wow, for a Limited time in October we are giving you a brilliant special offer. From the 4th October until the 18th October we are giving a free outdoor 6kg Green/White feeder worth £19.99 with every house purchase. A brilliant way to get your new chicken keeping hobby started.

The free feeder is made from robust plastic and featuers a rain hat to cover the food, which allows you to have the feeder outside and the food will not get wet in the rain.

We have a variety of other offers available also so check out our Special Offers page, with feather pecking spray, poultry wormer, Nutri-Drops, just to name a few items on offer.

If you place an order on-line or on the telephone then the feeder will automatically be added to your order, our way of thanking our loyal customers and also saying a big welcome to new customers :) (the free drinker offer excludes houses sold to Rep. Ireland, N. Ireland and Europe)

For October we have a brilliant price on the RCOM Suro Manual turn Incubator. This incubator is like the RCOM Suro however does not have the turning cradle or the egg dividers, so you can easily lay out the eggs and turn them manually.
It still has the vital temperature and humidity control built in, however if you are looking to get a brilliant little incubator, but want to save as much money as possible then this could be the option for you.

As there are no dividers you can fit in a variety of eggs and with most eggs they only need turning a couple of times a day minimum. Most incubators turn hourly or once every two hours, but if turning the eggs yourself it does not need to be as labour intensive.

With the price being only £129.99 then you can see that it is a brilliant idea and fills that gap when it comes to getting an incubator within a certain budget.

We have been advised of the competiton winners for the Your Chickens Magazine and also for the Country Smallholding Magazine, so would like to offer our congratulations to both winners. Details will be publised in the Magazines and the winners will be advised of their good fortune by the magazines shortly (it not already done so).

Thank you again for entering the competition and we will hopefully speak with the winners soon, who I’m sure will be more than happy to spend their £150 :)

I completely forgot to say at the beginning of the week that we have a few RCOM Bird Pavillion Brooders which have been used here for the Rheas and Peacocks and Turkeys. As the birds are very much older now (you try and sqeeze one of the Rheas in to a brooder now, lol) then the machines are for sale under the Used Incubators, Ex-Display Equipment section of the website.

If you are looking for a brooder (remember they are the same as the RCOM Pet Pavilions also) then check out the special prices available.

Great News. The Brahma chicken Houses are now available for back order.
They are due to us in September. We have had so many calls asking when they are back in and although I will email as many customers as I can, you can head over to the chicken house part of the website and place your back order now.
As with all our houses when available on back order, we offer a special “Thank you” price, to say thank you for waiting until the stock is in. As such the Brahma house is now only £189.99. This price is purely for a limited time, until the houses are back in stock, when the price will return to the normal retail price.
The fact that the stock of the houses sold out so quickly (the stock was due to last until September!) shows the true likability of this house.
If you ever require any advise with regards to which house is best for you, you can always give us a call, where we will be happy to help you in choosing your chickens new home :)

Firstly, can you believe it’s August already?! Soon people will be talking about that certain celebration held in December (notice I didn’t say the name…don’t want to be wishing the year away, lol).

To try and extend the Summer feeling we have a couple of top offers on for August.

Firstly the lovely little Rhode Island Red (RIR) House and Run, has come down in price to £159.99, which is, I’m sure you will agree, a brilliant price for a combined chicken house and run which features 15mm thick timber. A lot of people ask if the houses are treated at all and they are - they are treated with an oil based preservative so you don’t have to think about doing this before putting them together, making the constructon even easier. At this price it really isn’t too pricey to start out and have a couple of chickens in your back garden, and you could soon be enjoying your own fresh eggs every day.

The second offer is the P&T 48 egg incubator which is now also £159.99. This incubator offers space to incubate 48 chicken eggs, and features auto-turn, automatic temperature control and also has a built in sensor for the humidity, so it takes the guess work out of controlling the humidity. When you see that fully automatic Incubators are over double this price for the same capacity, you can see how good this offer is.

Combine these prices with the possible £150 you could win from Your Chickens Magazine - what a steal :)

Many of you will have possibly already picked up your monthly Your Chickens magazine, however for those who haven’t, there is a brilliant competition running this month (August edition), to win £150 worth of vouchers to spend here at P&T.

The competition features on page 59 and I’m sure everyone will know the answer, lol.  When you think that the Dorking chicken house is currently only £159.99, the competition really does allow the lucky winner to get an amazing prize.

We have just put on the website an ex-display RCOM Maru 500 Cabinet incubator.

This incubator has been a display model here so has not been used for incubating or hatching, however as it is ex-display it has been reduced in price significantly.  I honestly cannot believe the price and I’m sure you will agree for not much over £1000, you can get a fully automatic 500 egg capacity incubator!

Our ex-display/used models never stay around for long, so thought I would blog so you know that it is there, I know I would hate to miss out if I have been looking at the MARU’s a while and have been waiting for an offer like this.

As Trevor has been busy incubating different breeds, we have now got our hands full with all different types of birds!

The newest chicks are the Rheas.  They are truly fascinating little things.  I’m saying little just for now as very soon they will tower over me (I am on the short side :) ). Once they have grown up then I’m sure that they will assist the Llamas in deterring Mr Fox also.

I have been takinga few photographs (like a proud mother) but the rather inquisitive chicks were fascinated with the camera and as soon as they saw it they ran over to me and pecked the camera constantly, thinking I was about to give them some more food :)  In the upcoming weeks I will make sure that I download some photos to the Blog and keep you posted on their progress.

Trevor used the RCOM 20 Pro incubators and RCOM 50 Pro incubators to hatch the eggs and I would advise to keep looking on the ex-demo/ex-display section as we may have a couple of incubators on special offer very soon (I have to clear this with Trevor first mind you, lol).
