Incubators

Unfortunately from the 1st July the prices on our RCOM Incubator range are increasing.  We do not want to just increase the prices without letting you all know, so I thought it best to send a quick blog out to remind everyone.  Although we have advertised this on the front page of the website, if you are looking for a RCOM Suro Incubator then if purchased before 1st July then it is £164.99, compared to the £189.99 after the price increase.

It’s unfortunate that the prices are rising however if you are looking for a new incubator this year then the time is now (I mean now as who would want to pay an additional £25 if they didn’t need to?). ;)

As we have all been very busy incubating eggs then we have quite a few Ex Demo Incubators available for purchase.  we have RCOM incubators as well as a couple of the P&T 48 egg incubators.  This brilliant for those looking to purchase a new incubator however are keen to get a great price.

We have had a little clear out, trying to free up some space and also have some ex-display models available.  These incubators have not been used, just been out of the boxes for display so they truely are at a brilliant price.

Keep an eye out on our Ex-Display/Ex-Demo page and you may just bag yourself a bargain

Great news!

We have signed a multi year contract with RCOM, which not only confirms that we will be the official RCOM agents in the UK for years to come, but also allows me to be a little cheeky and let you know that new products are being designed and produced as I type.

As soon as we have exact names, specifications and prices etc then I will update you with all the details however if you are as impressed with the RCOM Incubators as us then keep checking back here as we will confirm more information about the new incubators and incubation accessories once it is available to us.

I have had a great few days searching out eggs for incubating again, as you can see from the posts here the staff are getting all the fun with incubating hatching eggs but it is time I got my share of incubating back.

So I have arranged Rhea, Turkey, Peacock, Chicken, Pheasant and Quail eggs for next week.

I will be using the RCOM 20 Pro’s, Rcom 50 Pro and the Maru 500.  Yes running an incubator selling business makes me a lucky man.

I hope you put some videos together for you of the whole incubation process :)

If you have searched the market then you will see that the RCOM 50 and RCOM 50 Pro Incubators are very hard to come by!  They are really selling well this year and as soon as we get them into stock they are going out the door.

After using the RCOM 20 pro recently I am really impressed with the technology available in the Pro incubator and can see why so many are choosing the RCOM Pro incubators.  You can just select a species of bird and your away.  If incubating exotic species you can alter turning angles, turning times etc, making them such an advanced incubator.

If you are looking for the RCOM 50 or RCOM 50 Pro then we would recommend ordering now as stocks are truly limited and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss out.

Well Spring has definitely sprung and our chickens are laying like there is no tomorrow.  As a result I have been able to get a RCOM 20 Pro incubator up and running, which is brilliant as a had only a small knowledge of what this brilliant machine can offer.

As you know, I set up my Suro incubator only a few weeks back, and I must say that the RCOM 20 Pro is a lot different.  When it comes to setting up the water reservoir is in the incubator so there is no pump to worry about and the little touch of magic comes when you switch the machine on and press the Menu button.

You can then select the species of bird, say Chicken, Duck, Geese, Quail, Pheasant, Peacock, the list goes on.  Once you have selected the species the digital display then shows you the temperature settings at which days, the humidity settings, the turning settings, the turning interval and then finally the countdown menu.  With this then the incubator can be pre-programmed to incubate pretty much any species, as you programme it in.  It is already preset for the birds on the list so you don’t have to do anything except skip through these functions however if you need to alter anything it’s there at a touch of a button.

I first thought that it would be a little to advanced and I would have to speak with our technician to fully understand the lists etc but the display makes it easy to understand.

If you are looking for the bees-knees in incubators then this is definitely the one :)

We are currently get many requests for an incubator for queen bee cells, well the most popular incubator sold for this is our Juragon RX incubator to which I am told are doing very well and people are getting great results. However I my bee keeping skills are only a year old so I am not sending a unit to one of the UK’s top bee breeders for them to throughly test for me and confirm their results. Once fully tested we will write up our results. So please look back for more news on the ideal bee incubator.

Over the last few months there has been a influx of people buying incubators in bulk from europe and selling them here in the UK but if there are issues with them and the sellers are not covering the warranties we are expected to cover this for some reason I trully do not understand.

I personally oversee our purchase and specs of UK RCOMs and I ensure there are a few alterations for the UK market from fans to heaters etc, even changing the programmed humidity % to the best results for the UK.

So we are proud of our incubators and our service, if you brought RCOM through us then you have paid for our service and our warranty and we will help in any issue as best as we can, however if you have not but ring up daily saying ‘we brought it from you but there is an issue’ please dont as we have full records and serial numbers and we also have different parts on our incubators to imports. Our Suro fans are stronger for example and are 50% heavier than imports and RCOM build them in a different factory for us. So please if you purchased a foreign incubator slightly cheaper and can not get the back up service you deserve then tell us the truth and for a fee we will of course help.

However lie to us as many are doing then I am sorry but we withdraw our services even paid for services.

We will HELP as best we can all non P&T Poultry customers that are not getting back up service from other less reputable suppliers but not tell us from the start means we waste time checking records etc and we really no longer feel we wish to help you.

Please remember P&T customers come first 100% of the time then others whom are truthful and then those whom try to trick us please dont as we will not help you.

If a bargin looks too good to be true then …….. well you know but please then do not expect us to bail out others poor service because we have the best reputation, we got this from servicing our customers and not from bailing out poor quality suppliers.

Well finally the days are getting longer and the egg laying hormone is returning to the hens and the cockerels are getting more active you can concider incubating your fertile eggs again.

However please remember we are just into Feb, this means it is still cold hatching eggs must be collected very fresh and stored at 8-10c please do not store them in the garage or outhouse or they may well freeze overnight and die.

When you have stored your eggs and have enough to start incubating again please do not forget to run your incubator in a heated room, all incubators should run in rooms above 15c if the temp goes lower than this at night then you will have problems with the incubator burning itself out or incubating eggs getting under 37.5c as the incubator just can not cope.

So many people incubate in unheated rooms in the summer and of course get away with it but it is not summer now so please thing of the surronding conditions and you will get good early hatches but forget about them and you will have early disasters.

We are incubating and getting good results as can you :)

I wish you great success in your early incubation.

I think the snow may have gone to Trevor’s head a little as for our Christmas specials he has slashed the prices on chicken houses and incubators, namely the Leghorn Chicken House, RIR chicken house and Run and also on the Maru 500 Cabinet incubator.

The Leghorn House is now only £149.99, which is an amazing price.  The price only came into effect yesterday however I can tell from the orders that you like it :)  and I don’t blame you at all.  The lovely RIR house and Run is now only £169.99 and it’s the perfect chicken house for those who are more restricted on space and want a few chickens in their back garden.  Again, a brilliant and possibly unexpected present for those who know someone who has always wanted chickens but has never taken the plunge!

Now the really exciting, and slight crazy, price drop is on the Maru 500 incubators.  They have dropped a staggering £620 and for a limited time only are selling for £999.99.  This is a truly limited offer and for those who are looking at the RCom Maru 500 and wondering when to buy (bearing in mind the not-so-cheery VAT increases next year) I would say that now is the time.  We have these wonderful Incubators in stock and I think it would be lovely to know that you could kick off the new season with a new fully automated incubator.

So if your looking and thinking “do I…don’t I?” hopefully these amazing price deals will tip the balance.
